Enabling One-Click Login using Twitter or FaceBook

  1. Many people remain logged in to social systems such as FaceBook or Twitter on a continuous basis.
  2. It is possible to use those credentials to simplyfy logins to the Met Site
  3. On a one-time basis only, it is necessary to establish the linkage between the services and the Met system
  4. Simply login to the Met site using your Met username and password.
  5. Then, click on the Logout button on the top right of the site.
  6. This invokes the logout popup.  Do NOT logout.  Rather, click on either the symbol for twitter or facebook.  The system will faciliate the connection between the social network and MET.
  7. Then, in furture, on the login, you can just use the Twitter or Facebook symbol to login rather than your Met credentials.
  8. This will give you a one click login.

Credit Card Payment Mechanisms

The Met United site uses two approaches to online payment.

  • Events as well as CDs and other products may be purchased via credit card using PayPal as a clearer.
  • Donations may be made using the Canada Helps button on our main page.  The advantage of Canada Helps is that a tax receipt is issued by email directly.  If you do not receive one, please check your spam filters.

Using PayPal

  • PayPal is a highly secure payment mechanism.  Payment is made on the PayPal site.
  • All credit-card related information is acquired from you on the PaySite.  Met does not receive any record of your credit card details but we do receive a notification that you have paid.
  • You may use your private PayPal account, if you have one, to speed the entry of the transaction details.
  • However, you may also directly enter your credit card details on the PayPal system for the individual purchase.  Just click on the appropriate credit card logo on the payment page.

Portable Document Format (PDF)

Many of the documents on this site are distributed as PDFs.  This document format is a an open standard developed by Adobe. Portable Document Format, or PDF, is used to preserve pages as they were designed in a desktop publishing or page layout application. Many documents on our website are available only in PDF. This includes forms, legal documents, large documents (i.e. many pages in length), and documents originally designed for print. PDF files display on your screen (and can be downloaded to print) as they originally appeared on paper.

To access the Portable Document Format (PDF) version you must have a PDF reader installed. If you do not already have such a reader, there are numerous PDF readers available for free download or for purchase on the Internet:
