Mission
To oversee the operational budget and unencumbered funds of the congregation; to assist in securing contributions; and to approve the dispersal of money received for the day-to-day operations of the church. To develop and present to the Official Board for approval, the annual budget and to present the approved budget to the congregation, at the Annual General Meeting, for final approval.
Functions
- To be responsible for the overall stewardship level of the Congregation by reviewing the financial objectives annually;
- To interpret to the Congregation why the funds are needed and how they will be expended;
- To prepare the budget allocation for all committees, in collaboration with each committee chair;
- To meet monthly from September to June and, with adequate notification, at additional meetings at the call of the Chair of Stewards;
- To report monthly to the Official Board and prepare the report for the Annual Meeting;
- To be committed to the mission of the Congregation and the wider church and all its aspects;
- To keep in perspective the proportions of money spent locally, regionally and nationally through the Mission and Service Fund;
- To secure commitment and participation in the mission of the church through periodic stewardship visitations and regular communication with the congregation;
- To be knowledgeable about financial subjects, fundraising, and stewardship education.

- All committees report to Stewards regarding budget allocations;
- The Stewards report to the Official Board at their monthly meetings
