We, the congregation of Metropolitan United Church, members of the United Church of Canada, upon entering the third millennium after Jesus Christ, strive to be faithful to his gifts and example by realizing our vision. We shall:

• Build on the quality, intelligence, creativity, and richness of worship;
• Strengthen the compassion, commitment and effectiveness of our social programs, through education and action;
• Feed the spiritual hunger of the congregation and communities around us;
• Open our arms to all who seek to be part of us;
• Reach out to the surrounding neighbourhood through music, preaching and social action;
• Attract and nurture children, young adults and families to take on important roles in our life;
• Plan for the future, and exercise wise stewardship of our resources, as they have been so wisely held in trust for us;
• Live the United Church Creed, leading by example, as the Church struggles to redefine its ministry in a changing world.
