Metropolitan United Church is fortunate to be led by a team of two committed pastors. As a teaching facility, our ministry is occasionally supported by student ministers.

Rev. Dr. G. Malcolm Sinclair

Dr. SinclairThe Rev. Dr. G. Malcolm Sinclair, B.A, M.Div., D.Min., D.D., was called to the pulpit of Metropolitan United Church in 1988. Born and raised in Toronto, he has shared the ministry of four different city congregations over a period of nearly forty years.

Rev. Dr. John Joseph Mastandrea

Dr.  Mastandrea The Rev. Dr.  John Joseph Mastandrea, B.Sc., M.Div. M.R.E., M.A.M.S, D.Min.,  became minister of spiritual growth and pastoral care development at Metropolitan United in 2000. John Joseph cut his teeth in the Etobicoke area of Toronto and now resides in Cabbagetown with his partner and is the division Chaplin for 51 Division. JJ as some call him find his  "connection with the urban landscape, the people who find their hearth to call home and the place  with the internal and eternal song come together."
