Our Programs

Metropolitan United Church delivers a number of programs to its membership and the wider community.

Worship - We offer many worship opportunities in the course of the week. Taize and Labyrinth experiences once a month, seasonal chapel services mid-week, Sunday morning chapel communion at 9:30 a.m. as well as our main service at 11:00 a.m.

Our life in Music - In our worship services and seasonal concerts presentations, our choirs, Silver Band, and other fine musicians gather the world across the wide musical spectrum.

Christian Education and Development - We offer gifts for all ages, incorporating musical performance opportunities, Sunday School and other programs, including those for teens. "One-Question Bible Study" happens each Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. sharp for half an hour, and mid-week, daytime groups open texts and ideas for all.

Congregational Life - We care about our people. We feed them, and teach them, and visit them, and support them. You are not alone when the changes come.

Helping Others - The Community Services program provides counselling, help battling addictions, a food bank, clothing room, and housing support. The "drop in" offers food and friendship, and our "Out of the Cold" Programs take on winter's chill. Teaching computer skills, and opportunities in an creative art program round out our offerings.

Facilities and Hospitality - We have a newly created facility called the Metropolitan Center, a large and flexible space beneath our sanctuary. We host meetings, wedding receptions, and rental groups.
