Metropolitan United Church

Metropolitan United is going GREEN...That's right! With a new contract with the City of Toronto Garbage and Recycling service and a new collaboration with Green Shift, Metropolitan United has evolved once again!

Green Shift is a local company that provides a variety of environmentally friendly products. Recently our Outreach and Hospitality Programs have begun using their non-toxic, biodegradable plates, cups, cutlery and bowls, dramatically reducing the amount of harmful waste generated.

Metropolitan United Church has developed and improved upon our recycling program, adding new bins and signage in an effort to reduce the amount of waste produced on a daily basis. Efforts are ongoing and we are continuing to look into other methods to reduce our impact on the environment. As a leader of our surrounding community, we feel it is imperative that we set an example to our Congregation by helping to protect and preserve this beautiful planet.
