Dr. SinclairThe Rev. Dr. G. Malcolm Sinclair, B.A, M.Div., D.Min., D.D., was called to the pulpit of Metropolitan United Church in 1988. Born and raised in Toronto, he has shared the ministry of four different city congregations over a period of nearly forty years.
Dr. Sinclair is regarded as one of Canada's finest preachers, and has traveled the country and beyond as a welcomed guest. Memberships in the Arts and Letters Club, the St. Andrew's Society, and the Robert Burns Club of Toronto stimulate Malcolm's artistic and historic interests, while stints on the stage and in musical reviews encourage his lifelong fascination with public performance.
Across the centuries, great preaching has stirred the human heart, changing the course of history. Today, we may well be longing for its gifts, having not yet tasted them. A great church, blessed with bright people, stirring music, striking architecture and a rich engagement with the saints and spirits, is the perfect venue to release the power the pulpit.
"Gather the kindling and pray for the lighting!" is the Sinclair mantra. We gather, and the lightning strikes.
