To ensure the continued availability and satisfactory maintenance of the property and facilities, within our financial capabilities.
Functions
- Work with the building custodial and security staff in overseeing the maintenance and timely repair of the building and grounds.
- Build and maintain a working relationship with the City of Toronto Parks and Recreation Department in regard to their responsibilities for the grounds south of the church building.
- Consult with the Trustees and the church Treasurer in the maintenance of adequate security systems and insurance.
- Plan and present annually to the Official Board, all proposals concerning regular repair, maintenance and capital improvement projects.
- Keep records of property work completed each year.
- Evluate the work of the custodial staff in cooperation with the Director of Administration and Facilitites.
- Screen and authorize all building maintenance and repair contracts, within the current budget.
- Each committee member (or several members) will be responsible for a specific function.
