Benjamin Stein is an accomplished musician who is a lead tenor in the Metropolitan Choir and directs the Metropolitan Concentus Iuventium Clamorosus(obstreperous teens playing music).
He sings for the Tafelmusik Baroque chamber Choir and has sung for Opera Atelier, Toronto Mendelssohn Choir, Elora Festival singers, Soundstreams Canada and the Nathaniel Dett chorale. Ben teaches guitar and voice at Havergal College. He has an MA in Musicology/Theory from the University of Tornto and has begun lute studies with Tafelmusik's own Lucas Harris. He is currently ccomposing a children's theatre piece for the Choristers and Sparklers based on the Greek myth Phaeton and has recently become an associate music director at Metropolitan Community Church of Toronto, where he will be directing the Sunday evening worship service beignning in May 2007.
