Assistant Choir Librarian
What is the focus of this volunteer role?To assist Librarian in maintaining the choir’s music library in good order.
What does this typically involve?
- File choir music in the library after each Sunday’s service
- Report missing copies/inadequate number of copies to the Music Director
- Fill the choir folders with new music as requested by the Music Director
- Add newly purchased anthems to the choir library database
- Repair music as required
- File larger works in the Ladies Choir Room cupboard
When do these activities usually take place?Periodically 2-3 hours/week in heavy seasons
What skills or knowledge are helpful in this role?Desire for order and neatness
