We've tried to include everything you've ever wanted to know about Metropolitan United Church, including its past, and present and future. Our goals for the site are to:
- Provide relevant, timely, easy-to-find content about Metropolitan, with “news you can use" information such as location, hours, description of services, events calendars, etc.;
- Provide inspiration for members to get involved and for non-members to visit by reflecting the meaningful spiritual experiences that Met offers;
- Portray Metropolitan as caring, committed, compassionate and connected;
- Build a sense of connection to the world at large, by providing access to content from the United Church of Canada and other external sources;
- Build a sense of community and responsibility by allowing members and staff to contribute their own stories and content, and respond to contributions from other members;
- Provide a venue for two-way dialogue and communications;
- Ensure a consistent user experience through a content structure that is easy for users to navigate and find the information they need;
- Promote the church as a destination of choice for visitors and a venue of choice for event-producers.
