A Preaching Series on Sabbath, Rest and Renewal VIDEOS

Videos of the preaching servies are being hosted on YouTube.  Due to the size and duration of the files, sermons have been broken into multiple-part videos.  Please view each part in sequence to view the entire video of the particular sermon.

Our fourth summer day camp for children and youth will be hald from August 25-29.  Teachers Alison Roy, Benjamin Stein, Christina Stelmacovich, Margaret Metcalfe and Marcus Howard will teach singing, instrumental playing, dance, drama and crafts. 

Fees are $60 for mornings only (ages 4-6) and $120 for the full day programme.

The United Church of Canada Launches a Two-Year Campaign for Peace

In many United Church congregations throughout Canada, November 4, 2007, will mark both Peace Sunday and the official launch of The United Church of Canada's two-year United for Peace Campaign. The campaign, which will focus on education, advocacy, and fundraising, has set a financial goal of $2 million.

About 75 people stayed after the Sunday worship service on June 24, 2007 to discuss and eventually approve the amendments to the agreement with Lancer Corporation to develop the north end of Metropolitan's property.

The motion was passed almost exactly as presented, the only change being that the Trustees will seek Presbytery Approval "as necessary". The motion references the attached document.

The financial future of Metropolitan United Church will be shaped by decisions the Congregation makes at its Sunday, June 24 meeting after the Sunday worship service. At that time, amendments to Met's agreement with Lancer Corporation, the company chosen to develop the north section of our property (the North Property), will be considered. All are encouraged to attend, to hear the details of our intricate arrangements with Lancer, and to help make a wise decision for our future.
