Our Choirs

Metropolitan has one of the finest music programs in Toronto, and is blessed with a number of choral ensembles.

Directors are:

The Metropolitan Choir meets at 7:30 in the Chancel Room.


Metropolitan Handbells

The Metropolitan Handbells rehearse on Thursday evenings in the Dining Room. 

The Handbell choir is under the direction of Margaret Metcalfe. Our three-octave set of Schulmerich handbells was donated in memory of Peter Campbell and Roy Rigg.

Our Music Group for children ages 4-6, The Metropolitan Sparklers, meet weekly in the nursery at 10:00am, before the Sunday Worship Service.

Choir Leads

Our choir is blessed with a range of extremely talented soloists. These people lead the volunteers in making music every Thursday at rehearsal, and during the Sunday services.


Look at the World

Music of Canada and beyond from Metropolitan United Church. Featuring the Metropolitan Choir, Cherub Choir, Choristers, CIC Ensemble, Handbells, Carillon and Organ. Gaudete!

Metropolitan United's second Christmas CD provides the listener with a sampling of the variety of music heard during the church's Advent and Christmas services. Features the adult choir and soloists, organ, carillon, handbells, Celtic harp, guitar, violin, piano and percussion. Recorded at Metropolitan United Church in June, 2002. Total playing time: 69:42. This recording includes a variety of music that might also be heard during worship services at Metropolitan.
