Luke tells us that Jesus was about 30 years old when he was baptized in the Jordan River. It was a “threshold" experience for him. Once going through it, things would never again be the same. In Rev. Meyers’ sermon “A Van Down by the River” we'll explore how, by living into our baptism, we are called to step over a threshold into a new way of being with God’s love at its centre.

  • Prelude: Various (France; Owolabi; J.S. Bach)
  • Readings: Isaiah 43:1–7; Psalm 29;  Luke 3:15–22
  • Anthem: I Saw the Spirit (Lappano)
  • Solo: At The River (arr. Copland)
  • Sermon: "A Van Down By The River"
  • Postlude: Fanfare (Cook)
