DESCRIPTION:When the Cathedral of Notre-Dame’s roof and iconic spire burn
ed in 2019\, the French government voted to restore the building as closel
y as possible to its original structure.  The meticulous reconstruction
revealed much about 13th century building techniques\, and the project wa
s not unlike those of historically-informed music group trying to reconstr
uct the sounds of early music using original techniques and instruments.
In this multi-media exploration of the iconic cathedral\, we’ll featur
e glorious music composed during her long history as we ask why it seems s
o important to us to revere certain works of art as they were conceived an
d brought into existence by their long-dead creators.\nBuy tickets here
