Most of this website is open to the public, but some areas are reserved for members and adherents of the church. For instance, the church directory, committee reports, AGM minutes, budgets and church forums are only open to people who have made a real commitment to Metropolitan United. We don't mean to be unfriendly, but a church is a kind of family and not all family issues get shared with the neighbours.
Most current members and adherents already have a profile on the site. To login, use the 'Member Login' button at the top, or the login module at the bottom of every page. If you do not know your username or password, use the 'Forgot Login' to recover them. The first step is to get the username using your email address. To do that, simply use the 'forgot login' link and select 'forgot username'. Your username will be sent to the email address that you supply IF and ONLY IF it matches the email in our system. If you did not supply an email to Met or your email has changed, please contact the church office or use this contact link. The second step is to retrieve the password. Use the 'forgot login' link again, but this time select 'forgot password' . Enter your username and email, then click 'Send Password'. A new password will be emailed to you. With your username and password you should now be able to log in.
The new site offers the use of social media logins. You must first login to the site with your METUNITED credentials. On logout, you can link to one of your active (i.e. to which you are logged in) social media accounts by simply clicking on the appropriate icon. Afterwards, if you are logged in to that account, you can quickly enter our site without needing to remember your CABE id by clicking on the social media icon. If you have trouble with the popup login at the top, there is a supplementary login option at the bottom of the page.
So, if you are a new adherent and do not believe that you have a profile and would like to log-on to the website to access the otherwise blocked areas, please call the office and ask the office administrator for the simple PassPhrase that will let you into the registration page, or ask Paul Kropp or Muriel Cairns or one of the ministers at our Sunday service. Completing the registration page takes about five minutes.
Incidentally, none of the information you provide ever gets shared outside the church community. The Metropolitan website is private and secure.
On the other hand, the Met E-store is open to everyone. Like the rest of the website it's perfectly secure. All you need is a credit card and you can purchase CDs, concert tickets and even Metropolitan sweatshirts.
