It is vital that our faith be strengthened by our intelligence. There are things to be learned and connected, as well as things to be praised and done. These days many people have only a superficial knowledge of church history, biblical content and meaning, and the deep link between faith in God and our human responsibilities in the world. So, at Metropolitan Church, we offer gatherings for adults. They are welcoming, free of charge, interesting, stimulating, thought-provoking, and full of surprises and friendships.
Sunday “Lunch and Learn” sessions after church feed both body and soul around pressing social issues. Weekday morning study groups tackle a meaty religious book or a challenging Biblical theme over several weeks. “One Question Bible Study” each Sunday morning from 10:00 to 10:30 opens a text with one fresh question and lots of discussion. Faith in God is a gift. Sharpening our faith in God is a responsibility.
