Draw Near: The Advent & Christmas season at Metropolitan

In the wilderness, a voice cries out, longing for repair and renewal in our broken world. The prophet reminds us who we are, whose we are, and how we should relate to each other as individuals, as nations, and as an entire earth community. The ministry of the Rev. Dr. G. Malcolm Sinclair is celebrated after the service in the dedication of our Tower Window. Our yearly concert Deck the Halls! follows at 1pm.

  • Band Prelude: The Message of Christmas; Christmas Fantasy
  • Readings: Isaiah 11:1–10; Romans 15:4–13
  • Sermon: “The Safe Harbour" (Rev. Jason Meyers)
  • Anthems:
    • This is the record of John (Gibbons)
    • O splendidissima gemma (Hildegard von Bingen)
  • Offertory: Infant Holy (arr. Cook)
  • Postlude: Part 3, from Christmas Triptych (Curnow)
