The Spiritual Practice of Patience

This week's theme in A Summer of Spiritual Practices is 'Patience', as The Rev. Karen Bowles examines Luke 12:32–40.

Also leading in worship are The Rev. Dr. Nancy Hardy, Minister of Music Dr. Patricia Wright, soloist Gisele Kulak, and guest carillonneur Mateusz Olechnowicz, from the University of Toronto.

Please join us prior to the service at 10 a.m. in the Founders' Chapel for reflection on last week's practice.

Met's New Podcast

Catch up with the podcasts! The take home exercises for this past week ('Money') were:

Consider these two questions before you make a purchase, give or invest:

● Does this transaction align with Christian stewardship - the proper and generous use of our treasure?

● Does this transaction engender respect for Creation?

Don't forget that we'll meet to reflect on this practice at 10 a.m. on Sunday in the Founders' Chapel.

You can subscribe to the podcast through iTunes, Spotify, or Google Play.

Mobilize Mondays @ Dundas Square

Mobilize Mondays @ Dundas Square

Weekly from Aug 12 - Oct 7 (rain or shine)

On June 10, members of Metropolitan, together with Rev. Karen Bowles and Rev. Jason Meyers, took to the rain and joined in a mobilization calling for climate action ('to live with respect in Creation'), now. It was an exciting atmosphere, as we met new friends delivering this important message, including members of fellow United Church congregations.

Meet Rev. Karen Bowles this coming Monday at Dundas Square as communities of faith again join Extinction Rebellion Toronto. In fact, you can take part every Monday until Oct 7! Meet from 5:00 p.m. on, with the intersection being occupied for 15 minutes at 6:00 p.m. sharp.
