Peace & Social Justice Team
Fellow Met Members & Adherents: Our faith calls us to action. The Peace & Social Justice Team turns compassion into impact through advocacy for social equity, climate justice, and right relations with Indigenous Peoples. We're a welcoming group of 6 souls dedicated to planning events and helping those in need. Why join? Amplify your voice, build connections, and live out our UCC values—right here at home. No experience needed; just your dedication and passion!
Promoting Peace (Isaiah 11:6) as a fundamental value of the gospel is at the core of Met's peace and social justice activites. Our work is organized around these three priorities:
Advancing Social Justice (Matthew 25:40; Isaiah 1:17)
Advocating for Ecological Justice (Genesis 1:31)
Renewing Relationships with Indigenous Peoples (UCC Song of
Faith, 2006)
We sponsor three peace and social justice services with guest
speakers annually. Click here to watch one of our services.
Since its inception, advocating for peace and social justice has been
