Whether prepping food, serving, or sitting at the tables, our program workers create an environment of fun, laughter, and care. Volunteers from across Toronto encourage growth in self-esteem and facilitate a sense of community for the inner city’s lonely, hungry, and homeless people. Our program inspires hope and renewal for all participants.

Metropolitan is seeking volunteers to assist with the program on both Wednesdays and Thursdays (November to April).  On Wednesday mornings, volunteers work on preparing food in the kitchen.  On Thursdays, volunteers work on setting up, serving food, listening and talking with the guests and encouraging them to take advantage of the many social programs offered in Toronto.  We endeavour to earn respect and trust amongst all who attend and/or help with the Out of the Cold Program.
