Catch a recital of Met's 54-bell carillon on the lawn before embarking through the Great South doors. Upon entering the building, pause to soak in the sheer weight of the heavy walls holding the tower above. Continue into the warm embrace of the rich woodwork in the narthex before proceeding into the sanctuary. Experience the detailed artistry, ornately planned stained glass windows, and an inexhaustible number of thoughtful details. Take a moment to explore the chancel room, restored in 2021, an area that plays host to community spaces and offices. Learn more through a guided tour, organ demonstration or recital, and a visual history display.

In commemoration of this year's Doors Open Theme, and to mark the 100th anniversary of the carillon and its recent restoration, Metropolitan is pleased to offer recitals of the Carillon throughout both days.
