On this Remembrance Sunday, we honour the memory of the people who have made the ultimate sacrifice in war, while also considering how we must seek justice and resist evil in our own time and in our own ways. Rev. Meyers’ sermon "The Last Enemy" will consider how Jesus loved life - both the time-bound life of our human reality and the deeper reality of life beyond life. After the postlude, you will be invited to light a candle - either at the foot of the chancel steps, or at home - in memory of someone whose life has been affected by war.
The cornerstone of our week, worship at 11am is offered under the leadership of The Rev. Jason Francis Meyers, The Rev. Mark Aitchison, Minister of Music Dr. Jonathan Oldengarm, Wayne C. Vance Organ Scholar Joshua Duncan Lee and members of the Metropolitan Choir.
Masking is optional when attending worship. Information on health protocols can be found here.
The service is livestreamed at metunited.ca/live and on YouTube beginning at approximately 10:40-10:45am.
Past services can be found on the Sermons & Livestreams page.
