We begin this season of expectation and preparation with God's audacious and hope-filled promise that there will come a time where we 'beat our swords into plowshares' and the instruments of war will become the implements of nourishment. In Rev. Meyers's sermon "That Glorious Song of Old" we will consider what it might require of us to declare Jesus 'The Prince of Peace.'  We will also celebrate the sacrament of communion together this week, where everyone who draws near to the table of Christ with an open heart will be fed.
