Fifth Sunday after Pentecost

I like to think of this week's Gospel story as Jesus’ way of telling us how to get God’s recognition. Jesus tells us how to do something that God will approve of... something that makes God really happy! And when Jesus does this sort of thing, he is giving us a peek into the kingdom of God––where we as followers of Christ are called to live.
