Thank you for your financial support of Metropolitan United Church.

Your gifts enable our church to fulfill Christ’s message to feed the hungry, help the homeless, counsel the troubled, and provide pastoral care and spiritual support for the hundreds who pass through hour doors each week. Your gifts also fund the day-to-day operations of Metropolitan Church upon which these ministries depend.

Our church could not do all that it does without your generous support. For this, and for all that you do to help Metropolitan flourish, we say THANK YOU and are deeply grateful.

Each year, we invite every household associated with Met to renew its intent to support our church financially. This year, we are also providing an opportunity for you to identify possible interest in volunteer involvement with the congregation. We urge you to read the enclosed material carefully, and then prayerfully consider how you might renew your support of our vital church.

Metropolitan does so much good in the busy urban heart of Toronto — some of it visible and as much if not more under the radar. The following notes (we have changed the names) from those we have supported speak volumes about the work we as a congregation do.

This is a thank you to both you and the Metropolitan Church for the help you gave us for our son. We heard about your work with the homeless and you gave us many hours listening to us and providing counselling for us and our son. This was after we tried other avenues without success. Your practical help and understanding with addiction and the challenges families face has made our journey so much easier.

This is the kind of transformational ministry we provide, but we can only do so with your continued financial help.

If we are to maintain our current levels of mission and ministry like those described above, we will need to raise more from the congregation in 2026. If all of our donors were able to make an additional gift of $1 per day in 2026 over and above their current giving levels, we would be in a good position to maintain, and potentially increase, our current levels of mission and ministry.

Can we do this? Yes, we can, with God’s help and with yours.

Please, consider what Metropolitan does and what that means to you. Then, determine what you can do to help financially.
